DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
Lighthouse Ministries cannot take insurance, rather takes private pay. Clients are able to pay using electronic methods either in person or online.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
Yes! Clients have the option to pay one time for pre-marital sessions or each session. Clients utilizing the relationship, individual, or intensive counseling can set up a payment plan based on the number of sessions needed.
WHAT TECHNIQUES DO YOU USE?
Since no person or situation is the same, I utilize a myriad of techniques tailored to the situation, need, and person(s). These techniques are rooted in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) and range from coaching to practical application.
WHAT IS A SESSION LIKE?
When working with Lighthouse Ministries, be prepared to be comfortably uncomfortable! Questions pertaining to background information or clarifying are common. Some clients need a space to talk, others need a space to be heard, while others are a combination of the two. Do not expect to run a marathon, nor lay on a couch staring at the ceiling--although if you would like to, we can accommodate.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Scheduled session times are one hour. The actual therapy should be occurring regularly as clients put into practice the session material. Lighthouse Ministries is committed to ensure there is lasting change.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO SEE YOU AGAIN?
Reach out and schedule some time! There are ebbs and flows to life. Oftentimes when working on area of your life, another piece is needed. At other times a "tune up" is needed. Whatever your needs are and whenever your needs arise Lighthouse Ministries is here to help.
HOW DO YOU PROTECT MY PRIVACY?
It is up to you what to disclose to anyone outside of the session. Lighthouse Ministries is committed to your privacy and will not post, share, sell, or broadcast what is discussed in session. Solely in situations when abuse, neglect, or imminent danger to oneself occur, Lighthouse Ministries will notify the appropriate agency (APS, CPS, etc). This privacy applies to minors as well.
